Hawaii Island Weather

The climate in Hawaii is always fantastic. It's balmy and warm, with northeasterly trade winds prevailing most of the year. The difference between summer and winter average temperatures is minimal. 

Winter: Rates are high and hotels fill up early. Weather is pretty much great year round in Hawaii; however, the period between December and March is the rainiest time, so expect afternoon showers!

Spring: April is the beginning of dry season and the best time of year to visit due to lower rates and fewer crowds.

Summer: Expect lots of sunshine and also lots of honeymooners -- so if you want a special suite, book it early. Also, prepare for the heat: August and September are the hottest months!

Fall: October is part of the dry season and also has lower rates. The trade winds return, kids are back in school and crowds are at a minimum.

Traditional Hawaiian Wedding Ceremony

Hawaiian Style Weddings often begin with the ceremonial blowing of the conch shell, a large ocean shell that sounds something like a trumpet, when blown correctly. Then a Hawaiian musician (or group) could play a song, such as the "Hawaiian Wedding Song," as the bridal party performs the processional. The minister would then perform a Hawaiian wedding chant or blessing.

A lei exchange at the beginning, middle or end which is Hawaiian custom many couples choose to have their minister lead. Sometimes, family members and guests are included. Brides and grooms may select special readings celebrating the Hawaiian experience, to be included in their ceremony the end of the wedding ceremony is often celebrated by a Hawaiian song performed by the musician or the minister. A sacred, traditional wedding hula, performed by a trained hula dancer is a special touch, much beloved by Hawaiians and visitors alike.

Maui Island

Named after the demigod that drew the Hawaiian Islands up from the ocean, Maui is known as the "Valley Isle". Legend says that Maui captured the Sun to make sure they had long days for the enjoyment of the people and visitors of these islands. Maui is the second largest island in the Hawaiian chain providing miles and miles of diverse cultures, climates, and landscapes. From the black, white, red, and gold sand beaches to the pastoral village of Heavenly Hana to the soaring sea cliffs. Maui has something for everyone. It is no wonder that this sun-drenched island has been voted the "Best Hawaiian Island".

Kauai Island

Kauai is the oldest and northernmost of all the main islands of Hawaii. Of its 533 square miles, only 3% of it is used for commercial and residents. The rest is divided between agriculture and conservation. it is known as the "Garden State" because of its lush tropical scenery. It's beautiful and pristine landscape is a wonder to behold. Kauai's splendor has been the setting for Hollywood productions such as South Pacific, Jurassic Park, and Fantasy Island.

Kona, Big Island of Hawaii

The picturesque Kona Coast is one of, if not the most popular destination on the Big Island of Hawaii. With beaches ranging from white sand to lava rock, and plenty of fabulous dining facilities and activities to go around, Kona is truly a vacation wonderland. The region is tropical and warm all year long, with much less rain than on the other side of the island. Enchanting scents of coffee, exotic fruits and gorgeous flowers fill the air, making your trip to Kona seem more and more like an exercise in taking in all the beauty the coast has to offer. The actual word Kona means leeward side That means a bright, sun-filled sky practically every day of the years

Oahu Island

Honolulu, Waikiki Beach

Oahu is so full of contrast and diversity that every day you spend on the island will be fresh and exhilarating. Waikiki and Honolulu are the two main cities on the island. While they command the majority of the attention from tourists, the island as a whole is wonderful, with an abundance of fabulous sights, attractions and beaches.

Waikiki Beach is renowned for its bustling atmosphere and all night shopping. There's something for everyone on this island paradise. Don’t skip Honolulu on your vacation plans because too many tourists go there. They go there for a reason. This vacation would be well worth your while.
